$675,000 Mediation Resolution for a limited tort client who suffered neck, back and shoulder injuries (injections required, no surgery) in a Lancaster County crash.

$130,000 Lackawanna County Settlement

$130,000 in total settlements of all available insurance from multiple insurance companies for client injured in a rear end car crash on Route 435 in Daleville, Lackawanna County. Our 26 year old client sustained a low back injury and hip strain in this crash. Ostroff Law was able to obtain this significant recovery despite the fact that our Jefferson Township client had Limited Tort Insurance. Prior to litigation, the insurance company took the position that our client’s injuries weren’t serious enough to obtain a recovery, due to being covered by Limited Tort insurance. Ostroff Law sued the defendant and was still able to obtain this substantial recovery by aggressively litigating this case on behalf of our injured client.

$115,000 Lackawanna County Settlement

$115,000 in total settlements with multiple insurance companies for a client from Dunmore, who was injured in a highway crash on 81 North, near exit 190, in Scranton, Lackawanna County. Our client sustained shoulder and back injuries in this rear end collision.

$50,000 Juniata County Settlement (for twice the amount a prior firm recommended)

$50,000 settlement for Port Royal client that hired Ostroff Law less than a month before the Statute of Limitations expired, i.e., nearly two years since her car crash. She was represented by a nearby law firm that was encouraging her to settle her case for $25,000. She felt it wasn’t a reasonable amount. She sustained a low back strain and sprain injury in this crash and still owed some of her medical bills. Jon Ostroff agreed with her and also agreed to take her case over. Ostroff Law filed a lawsuit in Juniata County within days of being retained, which is where this crash occurred on Route 75 in Spring Hill Township. This lawsuit was filed in time to protect her from the expiration of the Statute of Limitations, something her prior law firm had not done. About a year later, after aggressively proceeding with her lawsuit, Ostroff Law settled her case for $50,000.

$150,000 Settlement for Jefferson County Client, 6 months after hired

$150,000 settlement obtained within 6 months, from multiple insurance companies, for our Limited Tort client from Falls Creek, Jefferson County, PA. Our client contacted our law firm a year after this accident occurred. She was a passenger in a car driven by her boyfriend who lost control of his vehicle on Route 219, striking a tree in Brackney, Susquehanna County, PA. Our client sustained a fractured vertebra in her mid back. Before calling Jon Ostroff, she didn’t realize she could obtain a settlement. She was told by another lawyer prior to hiring Ostroff Law that her Limited Tort insurance precluded her from a recovery. Ostroff Law accepted her case and promptly pursued all insurance proceeds that were available through multiple insurance companies. It took only 60 days for Ostroff Law to obtain the full $50,000 insurance policy limit settlement from her boyfriend’s insurance company. Four months later, another $100,000 was obtained from a Under Insured Motorist (“UIM”) Benefit, available from our client’s own insurance policy. Ostroff Law was therefore able to recover $150,000 total, in only 6 months, for our Limited Tort client.

$400,000 Jefferson County Settlement(5 months after hired)

$400,000 settlement (5 months after Ostroff Law was hired) for our Limited Tort client who suffered a badly broken leg (femur) requiring surgery as a result of a car crash on Route 119 in Bell Township, Jefferson County, PA. $32,500 Indiana County Settlement

$100,000 Settlement for Huntingdon County Client

$100,000 settlement for all available insurance for a client with Limited Tort insurance, from Mount Union, Huntingdon County, PA. Our client sustained a neck injury when his vehicle was struck in the rear end by the at fault driver. Our client was stopped for a stop sign at an intersection with a rural highway. The insurance company for the at fault driver refused to make a settlement offer to settle this case, due to our client’s Limited Tort insurance. Ostroff Law filed a lawsuit and pursued it aggressively, ultimately establishing a strong case for our client’s recovery and the insurer for the at fault vehicle ultimately paid $100,000, which was the entire amount of his insurance policy.

$55,000 Huntingdon County Settlement

$55,000 settlement obtained in part, within 9 months of being hired, for client from Three Springs, Huntingdon County, PA. This first settlement was for $25,000, which was the full amount of the at fault party’s insurance coverage. Only 4 months later, Ostroff was able to obtain $30,000 in an additional settlement with our client’s own carrier for Under Insured Motorists (“UIM”) Benefits coverage. This car crash caused our client to sustain a mid-back injury, requiring two rounds of injections as part of her medical treatment. This treatment was successful in resolving her back pain.

$130,000 Huntingdon County Settlement

$130,000 settlement recovered only 11 months after Ostroff Law was hired by our client with Limited Tort insurance, who resides in Huntingdon, PA. Our firm recovered all available insurance from multiple insurance companies by aggressively filing this lawsuit and litigating this claim. Within this 11 month period, we filed a lawsuit and completed the pleading, discovery and deposition phases of this lawsuit. Our client injured his neck when he was cut off by a left turning vehicle on Route 30 in Chambersburg. Prior to this crash our client had a history of neck problems and surgery. He aggravated these prior neck problems in this crash, but did not require additional surgery. Even though our client had Limited Tort insurance in effect on the date of this crash, Ostroff Law was able to swiftly recover all of the insurance that was available. The insurance company did not make a reasonable settlement offer until they were sued and this recovery was aggressively litigated.
